Engineering Ingegneria Informatica S.p.a. with headquater in Piazzale dell’Agricoltura, 24 – 00144 (hereinafter“Engineering”) constantly undertakes to protect the online privacy of its users. This document was drafted pursuant to art. 13 of EU Regulation 2016/679 (hereafter: “Regulations”) in order to let you know our privacy policy, to understand how your personal information is handled when you are using INTERSTAT website (cef-interstat.eu, hereinafter collectively “Site” ) and, where appropriate, to give a expressed and aware consent to the processing of your personal data. The information and data you have provided or otherwise acquired in the context of using the services of Engineering, hereinafter “Services”, will be processed in compliance with the provisions of the Regulations and the confidentiality obligations that inspire the activity of Engineering.

According to the rules of the Regulations, the processing carried out by Engineering will be based on the principles of lawfulness, correctness, transparency, purpose and retention limits, data minimization, accuracy, integrity and confidentiality.

Following the navigation of this website, we inform you that Engineering will process personal data that may be made up of an identifier such as the name, an identification number, an online ID or one or more characteristic elements of your physical, physiological, psychic, economic identity, cultural or social suit to make the data subject identified or identifiable (hereinafter only “Personal Data”).

Personal data processed through the website are the following:

2.1. Navigation data

The computer systems and software procedures used to operate the Site, during their normal operation, some Personal Data whose transmission is implicit in the use of Internet communication protocols. This information is not collected to be associated with identified subjects, but by their very nature could allow to identify users, through processing and association with data held by third parties. This category of data includes IP addresses or domain names of the computers used by users who connect to the website, the addresses in the Uniform Resource Identifier (URI) notation of the requested resources, the time of the request, the method used to submit the request to the server, the size of the file obtained in response, the numerical code indicating the status of the response given by the server (success, error, etc.) and other parameters related to the operating system and the user’s computer environment. These data are used for the only purpose to obtaining anonymous statistical information on the use of the website and to check its correct functioning, to identify anomalies and or abuses, and are deleted immediately after processing. The data could be used to ascertain responsibility in case of hypothetical computer crimes to the detriment of the site or third parties: except for this possibility, the data on web contacts do not persist for more than thirty days.

Using some website services, personal Data may be processed by third parties sent by you to Engineering. With respect to these assumptions, you are the independent data controller, assuming all the legal obligations and responsibilities. In this sense, it confers on the point the widest indemnity with respect to any dispute, claim, request for compensation for damage from treatment, etc. that it should reach Engineering from third parties whose Personal Data have been processed through its use of the functions of the website in violation of the rules on the protection of applicable personal data. In any case, if it provides or otherwise processes Personal Data of third parties in the use of the website, it guarantees from now – assuming all related liability – that this particular hypothesis of treatment is based on an appropriate legal basis pursuant to art. 6 of the Regulation that legitimizes the processing of the information.

3. Purpose of the treatment

The treatment we carry out has the following purposes:
Enable you to access and use the Site;
Provide customer service and respond to requests for assistance or information, whenever you contact us;
Send you news/updates regarding the contents/resources you subscribed to;
Operate, protect, improve, and optimize the Site and your user experience, such as by performing analytics and conducting research.

4. Legal basis for the processing

We process the information detailed in Section 2 for the adequate performance of the contract with you, for the purposes detailed in Section 3. Also, given our legitimate interest in providing and improving the functionalities of the INTERSTAT website and our users’ experience with it.

Engineering confirms that it will not transfer your personal data to a third country or international organization.

7. Data retention

The personal data processed for the purposes set out in Section 3 will be kept for the time strictly necessary to achieve those same purposes. Your personal data will be kept as long as the INTERSTAT website will be operation and the provision of Service will be performed.

8. Data subject rights

You have the right to ask Engineering at any time, in application of Articles 15-22 of GDPR, to access to your personal data, to rectify or cancel them, and to request the limitation of processing in the specific cases detailed under art. 18 of the GDPR. Also, you have the right to obtain, in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format the personal data provided by you and have the right to have these data transmitted to another organization.

9. Changes to this Privacy Policy

This privacy policy is effective from 14th March 2020.
Engineering reserves the right to modify or simply update its content, in part or completely, also due to changes in the applicable legislation. Engineering will inform you of these changes as soon as they are introduced and they will be binding as soon as they are published on the website. Engineering therefore invites you to regularly visit this section to get to know the most recent and updated version of the privacy policy in order to be always updated on the data collected and its use Engineering.
